3rd Annual Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl – A River of Words

A Conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Kay Ryan and Reno Poet Laureate Gailmarie Pahmeier
Join Nevada Humanities for an evening with our special guest, former United States Poet Laureate, MacArthur Fellow, and Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Kay Ryan. Ryan will be in conversation with Reno's own Poet Laureate, Gailmarie Pahmeier. The Salon will include a 30-minute conversation, followed by in formal questions and answers, and a book signing.
This program is supported by the Pulitzer Prize Board and the National Endowment for the Humanities, in collaboration with the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Ford Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Columbia University, and the Federation of State Humanities Councils.
Join us for a night of live readings of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry at venues throughout Downtown Reno. Walk along the river and throughout downtown to hear your favorite local and national literary figures, catch live performances by The Utility Players, and enjoy music by The Reno Swing Set. All events are free and open to the public, although some venues are 21 and over.

The event epilogue will feature an evening of Poet Laureates -- Gailmarie Pahmeier, Reno's Poet Laureate, will take the "stage" (the porch at Sundance Books & Music) at 8:00 pm, followed by former US Poet Laureate, MacArthur Genius Award recipient, and Pulitzer Prize winner, Kay Ryan.
