The American West as Living Space: Readings and Conversations will be facilitated by Dr. Ron Edgerton, Professor Emeritus, University of Northern Colorado and focus on selected works by Pulitzer-recognized authors about the American West, such as The American West as Living Space by Wallace Stegner and Encounters at the Heart of the World: A History of the Mandan People by Elizabeth Fenn; Los Angeles Times feature articles on California's Dust Bowl and Wildfires; In Close Range: Wyoming Stories by Annie Proulx, The Plague of Doves by Louise Erdrich; House Made of Dawn by N. Scott Momaday; Turtle Island by Gary Snyder; In Time and Materials by Robert Hass; and The Best of It by Kay Ryan. Refreshments will be served.
