Biographer Caroline Fraser to speak on 'Laura Ingalls Wilder: An American Icon'

Hosted by the Ellen Theatre

The Ellen Theatre in Bozeman, Minnesota will be hosting Pulitzer-winning biographer Caroline Fraser for a lecture series on Nov. 5. This lecture is a part of series hosted by the Montana State University Center for Western Lands and Peoples' Perspectives on the American West.

Fraser just recently won the Prize last spring for her biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the beloved American writer known for her Little House on the Prairie series. Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder details the myths and realities surrounding such an influential figure of the American frontier. Fraser will speak about the ways in which Wilder's work can be read in order to illuminate history and notions of the West and how personal the Little House series was to Wilder's own childhood. Fraser is also the author of two other books, God's Perfect Church: Living and Dying in the Christian Science Church and Rewilding the World: Dispatches from the Conservation Revolution.

This event will be followed by a book signing. To find more information, click here.
