David Blight to speak in New Hampshire

David Blight will discuss his biography of Frederick Douglass as part of the Writers on a New England Stage series. The event will include a presentation by Blight and an interview with radio host Peter Biello.

Of Blight's latest biography, Biello said he "captures the complexities of not only this iconic American, but of our country during a time of great struggle. Through his elegant storytelling, he brings to light the honest humanity of a monumental figure. I'm looking forward to discussing the journey that he took to create this beautiful biography."

"Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom" won the 2019 Prize in History for its account of Frederick Douglass' lasting influence.
