An Evening with Jon Meacham at the Universty of Minnesota

Hosted by The Humphrey School of Public Affairs

Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian and biographer Jon Meacham will speak at the Universty of Minnesota as a part of The Humphrey School of Public Affairs' Distinguished Carlson Lecture Series.

Meacham's presentation, parallel to his latest work, The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels, will focus on moments of social and political fear throughout history and how our current generation can deal with moments of crisis and confusion. Meacham is a regular editor of the New York Times Book Review and Time Magazine. He received the Pulitzer Prize in 2009 for his biography of President Andrew Jackson, titled American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House.

Meacham's lecture will be followed by a moderated discussion and book signing of his most recent work.
