Festival of Books, One Book South Dakota – Keynote with Jane Smiley

Jane Smiley, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1992 for One Thousand Acres, presents the highlight of the 2016 One Book South Dakota program with her keynote presentation at the South Dakota Festival of Books. Her 2014 title Some Luck was selected as the 2016 One Book South Dakota.
Some Luck, published in 2014, is the first in the Last Hundred Years Trilogy Series. The story follows an Iowa farm family, starting with the birth of the family’s eldest son Frank Langdon in 1920. Each chapter of Some Luck covers one year in the family’s life into the 1950s.
