'The Gin Game'

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Gin Game, will run at Ontario's Sault Theatre Workshop in late October. 

The Gin Game, by Donald L. Coburn, won the prize in 1978. Originally debuting in Hollywood, the play also won the 1978 Tony Award for Best Actress.

The Gin Game follows two elderly residents, Weller Martin and Fonsia Dorsey, in a nursing home who, upon meeting each other, play cards. As they become more competitive at playing the game, they also become competitive about comparing their lives. The Gin Game is an honest and heartfelt portrayal of age and experience, and the different paths life can take. 

The Sault Theatre Workshop, founded in 1948, is a local theater troupe in Ontario. This run will be directed by George Houston and will star Edward Houston and Scarlett Marenger as Martin and Dorsey, respectively,
