Inside Media: 100 Years of Pulitzer

Hosted by the Newseum
Knight TV Studio

Roy Harris Jr. and Doug Pardue will talk about the 100th anniversary of the Pulitzer Prize, journalism’s highest honor that each year recognizes the best in reporting, commentary, criticism and photography.

Harris is the author of “Pulitzer’s Gold: A Century of Public Service Journalism.” The book is the first to trace the century-long history of the coveted Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, which is awarded annually to a news organization instead of an individual.

Pardue is a reporter for the Post & Courier in Charleston, S.C., who was part of the team that won the public service Pulitzer for its series on why South Carolina is among the deadliest states in the union for women.

A book signing will follow the program.
