Journalist Rick Bragg to Speak on New Book 'The Best Cook in the World'

Rick Bragg will read from his latest book The Best Cook in the World and discuss his career as a journalist at the University of Virginia's College at Wise on Oct. 18. 

Bragg won the Pulitzer Prize for feature writing in 1996 for his work depicting the contemporary lives of Americans for The New York Times. Prior to working at The Times, Bragg wrote for the Los Angeles Times and the St. Petersburg Times. Currently writing a column for Southern Living, much of Bragg's recent work has focused on his southern roots. His newest book is a homage to his mother and his southern childhood — part cookbook and part memoir, the novel has been a New York Times bestseller.
