Poet Gregory Pardlo To Speak About Memoir

Hosted by the New York Society Library

Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gregory Pardlo is scheduled to speak at The New York Society Library on Oct. 30. The event also will feature Lisa Lucas, the executive director of the National Book Foundation.

Pardlo mainly will be discussing his latest publication, a memoir titled Air Traffic: A Memoir of Ambition and Manhood in America. The memoir details Pardlo's childhood relationship with his family and his navigation into adulthood as he juggles being a poet, a son and a father. The memoir describes Pardlo's struggles in reconciling family with past, present and future.

Pardlo won the Pulitzer Prize in 2015 for Digest, which was also listed as one of the best poetry books of the year by The New York Times.

This event is free and open to the public but requires registration. Click here for more information.
