A Pulitzer Party

Hosted by Weller Book Works, the Utah Public Insight Network, The Salt Lake Tribune and Utah Public Radio

Thank you for telling us about your favorite Pulitzer Prize-winning fiction and helping us craft a story about the literature beloved in our community. If you missed the story, read it here.

Now, we're throwing a party to celebrate prize-winning fiction!

This Thursday, April 28, you can join us at Weller Book Works at Trolley Square beginning at 6:30 p.m. to collect a piece of birthday cake and bookish swag, and begin your book browsing.

At 7 p.m., The Tribune's Jennifer Napier-Pearce will introduce our notable readers, who will share why they love their favorite Pulitzer novel. Catherine Weller, co-owner of Weller Book Works, will introduce us to this year's just-announced winner, The Sympathizer, and others will try to persuade you to give their past favorites (Lonesome Dove and Angle of Repose, among others) a look.

We'll also award one of our guests an ultimate "reading kit" packed with literary goodies.

Afterward, you're invited to head upstairs with us to our afterparty at Desert Edge Brewery, which is designing literary cocktails just for our event. (You'll need to be 21 to buy them, but all are welcome to socialize at the restaurant.)

Here's a map of Trolley Square mall and nearby parking.

This event is part of The Tribune’s year-long celebration of the centennial of the Pulitzer Prizes, in conjunction with the Pulitzer Prize Board’s Pulitzer Campfires Initiative.
