Pulitzer Prize at 100: The Photographers: Lens on the Olympics

On the opening weekend of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographers Ken Geiger and William Snyder talk about their coverage of past Olympic Games.

Geiger and Snyder were photographers for The Dallas Morning News when they won the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for spot news photography for their dramatic photographs of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. The photos will be displayed during the program.

Geiger is National Geographic magazine’s deputy director of photography. He joined National Geographic in 2004 after 24 years of newspaper journalism, most recently as the director of photography at The Dallas Morning News.

Snyder is a four-time Pulitzer winner who joined The Dallas Morning News in 1983 where he worked for 15 years. His freelance clients include Time, Life, Sports Illustrated, the New York Times Sunday Magazine and USA TODAY.
