Paul Watson, the 1994 Pulitzer Prize winner in spot news photography, talks about his dramatic photograph of a U.S. soldier’s body being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu by a mob of jeering Somalis.
“Black Hawk Down” author Mark Bowden will moderate the conversation.
Watson’s career in journalism spanned more than 25 years as a foreign correspondent for The Los Angeles Times and The Toronto Star. He was with The Star when he won the Pulitzer.
Watson is also the subject of the two-man play, “The Body of an American,” which opens at Washington’s Theater J April 27 to May 22.
