Is trust busted? Minnesota’s Pulitzer Prize winners weigh journalism’s role in an era of disbelief
Co-sponsored by Star Tribune and Guthrie Theater, with support from MinnPost
The Pulitzer Prize celebrates its 100th birthday this year, having recognized a century’s worth of outstanding achievement in journalism and the arts. Yet in an election year filled with invective over the role of journalism, Gallup polling suggests that trust in mass media has sunk to a new low.
The Minnesota chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is gathering Minnesota’s winners to recognize great work from the past and the potential for powerful stories to build trust in journalism and beyond. The event is being co-sponsored by Star Tribune and Guthrie Theater, with support from MinnPost.
