Historian Joseph J. Ellis to Speak on Founding Fathers
Hosted by the National Archives Foundation
Pulitzer-winning historian Joseph J. Ellis will speak at the National Archives Foundation on Oct. 17, focusing on the Founding Fathers and the relevance of history to topical issues facing America today.
Ellis' new book, "American Dialogue: The Founding Fathers and Us" explores this relationship between past and present. Ellis originally won the Pulitzer in 2001 for his book exploring the complex, intertwined lives of the Founding Fathers titled "Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation." In it, he revisits some of the more personal aspects of America's history. Several of Ellis' works have become New York Times bestsellers.
