Exhibition events at Chicago Public Library

The Pulitzer on the Road Traveling Exhibition: Prize-Winning Works that Inform, Empower & Inspire is off on a nationwide tour this month. Its first stops are the public libraries in Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX.
The Harold Washington Center of the Chicago Public Library will be hosting a series of free events in conjunction with the Pulitzer exhibition, including:
- Wednesday October 14: Exhibition launch event on Storytelling and America, featuring prize-winners in conversation: Daniel Kraus, Fiction 2026; Percival Everett, Fiction 2025; Amanda Vaill, 2026 Biography; Jon Cherry of Getty Images, 2022 Breaking News Photography. They'll be speaking with Jelani Cobb, Pulitzer Prize Board Member, 2018 Commentary Finalist and Dean of Columbia Journalism School.
- Saturday November 7: "Can You Imagine?" with Tania León, 2021 Music winner for Stride
- Saturday November 14: A conversation event with historian Mark Larson on Studs Terkel, 1985 General Nonfiction winner for The Good War: An Oral History of World War Two
- Tuesday December 1: The Stories Behind Our Stories. A live storytelling event with prize-winning journalists on local stories they've covered and the impact these have had on their lives and communities, featuring Yohance Lacour of The Invisible Institute, 2024 Audio Reporting winner; Mary Schmich, formerly of the Chicago Tribune, 2012 Commentary winner; Laura Rodruigez Presa from the Chicago Tribune, 2026 Local Reporting staff; Liz Sawyer of the Minnesota Star Tribune staff, 2021 Breaking News Reporting; and two-time winner and Pulitzer Board member, John Archibald (2023 Local Reporting and 2018 Commentary).
